How Dean decided to move abroad, but his house in negative equity was holding him back in the UK.

“How to sell my house in negative equity in Swindon” Dean contacted me through a friend, knowing that we specialise in helping people to sell your house in negative equity.

After Dean got married, together with his wife Lila they decided to live abroad.  Dean was a landlord and he had a small portfolio of properties. Dean delayed the move for a while hoping that the market situation would change, however finally they took a decision to sell the properties and move on. The most of properties had some equity in them, so they were sold on the open market which helped Dean and Lila to raise the cash needed for relocation.  However one of his properties was a house in negative equity and Dean was struggling to sell it. The house was in a lovely family area and Dean brought the house to a perfect condition hoping to attract the right buyer, but he just wasn’t getting high enough offers to pay the outstanding debt off. He also considered to rent the house out, but they both didn’t fancy having another worry back in the UK, didn’t want to be responsible for the house.

Dean bought the house back in 2008 for £155,000 and now the market price for the house was about £140,000, where outstanding debt on the house was  £145,000. Dean considered an option to sell the house cheaper and pay the shortfall, but they didn’t have spare £6,000 to £10,000 to give away, especially when moving away. Dean kept thinking how can I sell my house in negative equity in Swindon?

They both were searching for different options of how to sell my house in negative equity in Swindon and that’s how I got a phone call from Dean asking for help. As we specialise in helping people to sell houses in negative equity, I met with Dean to discuss his situation. It only took us one meeting to agree on how we were going to sell the house to allow Dean to forget about the house and the debt so they could relocated without a delay.

Dean and Lila:  “The house was a real problem and we didn’t know how to solve it. We couldn’t sell the house for a few months and the situation was really getting us down…. all we wanted was to move abroad. We were so pleased to meet Dasha and to sort this out so quickly. We are very happy now that finally we have moved on.”
